Sr Embedded Software Test Engineer
Location: Remote (B2B Contract)
Salary: Gross (to be specified)

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Software Certification team. In this role, you will analyze and test embedded software operating on the ALIA-250 production aircraft. Your expertise in software verification and automation will be crucial in ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering high-quality software for the next generation of electric aviation.
Responsibilities

Develop automated and manual tests for requirements-based verification of embedded software and software tools.

Perform software analyses, including worst-case timing, memory margin, structural coverage, data coupling, and control coupling.

Conduct and perform peer reviews as an integral part of the software certification team.

Generate lifecycle data in compliance with DO-178C Level A, including test cases, verification procedures, and analysis results with proper documentation and traceability.

Collaborate with the software development team to review and refine software outputs.

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Maintain an organized and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
Finding people specifically with aviation software experience is key

BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

8+ years of experience in embedded software verification in a highly regulated environment.

Mastery of C programming and common test scripting languages.

Experience with real-time systems, built-in tests, tasking and interrupts, RTOS, bare-metal development, and communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI).

Strong knowledge of software configuration management, build integration, testing, and deployment methodologies.

Ability to read electrical schematics, documentation, and datasheets.

Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with STMicroelectronics ARM Cortex-M series microcontrollers.

Deep understanding of DO-178C and its supplements.

Familiarity with ARP 4754A and ARP 4761 processes and their impact on software.

Proficiency with tools such as Google G-Suite, Slack, Polarion ALM, Git, and Subversion.
English Proficiency

C1 Advanced level required.
