Responsibilities

• API Development & Maintenance: Develop, maintain, and create testing strategies for APIs, primarily written in Node.js and hosted in AWS.
• System & API Design: Design and implement scalable systems and APIs that power the HqO software used by people daily.
• Technology Selection: Drive the selection and integration of backend, data, and cloud platform technologies to support the application.
• Agile Collaboration: Work within an agile team to deliver software under tight timelines, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous integration processes.
• Technology Learning: Learn and work with new technologies such as AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Node.js, NestJS, and others.
• Full Stack Growth: Opportunity to grow into full-stack development (learning React) or full-cycle development (mastering Kubernetes and Terraform), or both.

Qualifications

• Node.js Expertise: 6+ years of experience with Node.js and backend development.
• Web Service Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience designing, developing, and scaling web services.
• Relational Databases: Proficiency in relational databases and experience with schema migrations.
• Cloud Technologies: Significant experience with AWS or similar cloud technologies.
• Modern JS Frameworks: Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Redux.
• Curiosity & Problem Solving: A natural curiosity about how systems work and a drive to solve complex technical problems.
• Education: BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Bonus Points

• Containerization & Orchestration: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Testing: Ability to write comprehensive test suites at all levels of architecture.
• Language: Russian language skills (preferred but not required).
