Position: Sales & Market Development Specialist (with the prospect of becoming General Director within ~6 months)
Location: Kyiv, Ukraine — remote/home office during wartime

The company is a newly established branch of the international Group, is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable specialist to join our team in Kyiv. The selected candidate will start as a Sales Department Employee and, based on performance, is expected to transition into the role of General Director within approximately six months or sooner.

We are looking for a proactive, analytical, and communicative professional who fully understands the dynamics of the metal consumption market and has the ambition to grow into a key leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

Market & Product Expertise

• Analyze the Ukrainian, European, and Asian metal consumption markets.

• Possess a strong understanding of rolled metal products, production technologies, and factory nomenclature.

• Evaluate supplier capabilities and match them with market demand to maximize profit.

• Apply mandatory knowledge of GOST, EU, and ASTM standards in daily work.

Sales & Negotiations

• Conduct negotiations with suppliers, manufacturers, and clients.

• Plan and coordinate shipments, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries.

• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships within the industry.

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare, review, and manage contracts, invoices, and other documentation.

• Ensure proper internal and external document flow.

• Apply legal and accounting basics when processing commercial documents.

Leadership & Communication

• Collaborate with directors in Germany (communication strictly in English).

• Prepare to visit clients and partners in Kyiv and travel to cities such as Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Lviv.

• Demonstrate stress resistance, precision, composure, and the ability to handle complex commercial issues.

6. Deep knowledge of the rolled metal market.

7. Legal awareness and understanding of commercial documentation.

8. Basic accounting knowledge.

9. High stress tolerance and the ability to think clearly under pressure.

Language Requirements

• English (minimum B2 level) — required for communication with Buhlmann Germany and the company owner.

• Ukrainian language is not required by the employer but may be helpful for market interactions.

Location

• Must be located in Ukraine.

• Preferably Kyiv or Kyiv region, with the ability to visit local companies regularly.

• Willingness to travel within Ukraine for business purposes.
