Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Ontology Architect & SHACL Specialist to design, maintain, and govern the semantic backbone of our knowledge graph. The ideal candidate will define RDF/OWL models, develop SHACL constraints, and implement validation rules to ensure semantic integrity and compliance with domain-specific regulations. This role requires deep expertise in ontology modeling, knowledge graph architecture, and semantic interoperability.
Key Responsibilities:
- 
	Design, develop, and maintain ontologies using RDF, OWL, and SKOS. 
- 
	Author SHACL shapes and validation rules to enforce data quality and compliance. 
- 
	Integrate and align domain ontologies (IDMP, EDQM, AFO, BAO) to ensure semantic consistency. 
- 
	Architect and optimize knowledge graph structures in tools such as GraphDB and Protégé. 
- 
	Collaborate with data engineers, data stewards, and domain experts to enforce semantic interoperability. 
- 
	Establish best practices for data governance and regulatory alignment across datasets. 
- 
	Monitor and validate data against defined semantic constraints and recommend improvements. 
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 
	7+ years of experience in ontology modeling and knowledge graph design. 
- 
	Strong proficiency in RDF, OWL, SKOS, and SHACL. 
- 
	Experience with semantic standards and domain ontologies (IDMP, EDQM, AFO, BAO). 
- 
	Hands-on experience with knowledge graph platforms such as GraphDB, Protégé, or similar. 
- 
	Knowledge of semantic interoperability, data governance, and regulatory compliance. 
- 
	Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
- 
	Advanced English communication skills (C1).
