• Title: Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)
• Location: San Francisco, On-site
• Salary: $150k – $220k
• Employment Type: Full-time, visa sponsorship available
• Team Size: 7 people

Experience

• 2–5 years of software engineering experience (SWE)
   
• Preferably: Senior Software Engineer experience
   
• Startup experience preferred: high-bar startups backed by Tier 1 VCs
   
• Optional but strong: founder or founding engineer experience
   

Education

• Top university or equivalent experience at high-profile startups
   

Technical Skills

• Strong coding and programming ability
   
• Experience building, testing, and iterating products with end users
   
• Comfortable with structured programming + integrating English-based instructions (AI-assisted tools a plus)

Interview Process

1. Initial conversation with the founding team
    
2. Technical interviews + forward-deployed case study
    
3. In-person work trial (3 days)

Parts of the role:

• Conduct extensive process mining with customers, breaking down complex ambiguous processes into precise, actionable steps
• Leverage your programming ability to build robust automations using our AI-English-based programming language
• Architect and implement solutions that can scale and work reliably
• Work directly with customers to iterate on implementations and drive adoption
• Scale deployments from initial pilot to full production volume
• Define and document best practices that will shape how we deploy to future customers
