About this role
What we're looking for?
We need a Staff/Senior Software Engineer with 3+ years of post-college experience, ideally at a single company, who has a strong background in backend engineering and applied AI. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, and have a track record of bringing AI products from conception to production. Bonus points if you have experience in the healthcare space.
What you'll do:

Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to inspire cutting-edge AI product capabilities.

Help build and scale AI/LLM Agent software systems in a fast-paced environment.

Implement scalable and resilient AI systems on cloud platforms with a very strong emphasis on security and privacy.

Design and build robust data pipelines and APIs to integrate a variety of sources ranging from patient data to genomics and wearables.

Take ownership of projects and drive measurable outcomes to increase patient scale without increasing clinical team size.

Work closely with co-founders, product, and design teams to create state-of-the-art AI application systems for healthcare providers and patients.
Seniority:

3+ years of post-college backend engineering experience at a company (not including internships).

Full-time employee track record (no recent contracting).

Post-college experience can include advanced degrees.
Work experience:

Professional experience building cloud software applications (backend).

Built or integrated AI/ML features in production — essential for AI product vertical.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from a top school.
Hard skills:

Exposure to Context Engineering, Embedding Systems, Semantic Search, Keyword Search, LLM Agent Design, and working with statistical/probabilistic software systems.

Familiarity with AI/ML and analytics infrastructure/platforms and data pipelines.

Experience with Go, Python, or similar backend languages (can learn quickly if strong fundamentals).

Cloud/serverless architecture experience (GCP preferred).
