About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Java & Teradata Developer with strong backend development skills and deep expertise in Teradata database management. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of professional Java backend experience and at least 3 years working directly with Teradata, focusing on query optimization and performance tuning. This is a fully remote position under a B2B contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Design, write, and optimize Teradata SQL queries and stored procedures to support business needs.

• Perform performance tuning and optimization of Teradata database operations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement technical solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve backend and database-related issues.

• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and best practice sharing.

• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of code and processes.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Teradata, including advanced query writing, performance tuning, and optimization.

• Strong understanding of SQL and database principles.

• Experience with Java frameworks and tools commonly used in backend development.

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment.

• Experience working under B2B contracts is a plus.
