Summary
We are seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer with 10+ years of QA experience and deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript. This role combines hands-on automation work with strategic leadership. You’ll drive QA initiatives, build and maintain automation frameworks, and mentor a distributed QA team in a collaborative and fast-paced product environment.
About the Role
As Lead QA Automation Engineer, you’ll work closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to define, implement, and evolve our QA automation strategy. Your role will be pivotal in delivering high-quality releases for a next-generation platform focused on skills management and workforce enablement.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for complex web applications

Drive QA strategy, roadmap, and best practices across the organization

Build reusable automated test suites using Node.js, TypeScript, Playwright, CodeceptJS, and ArtilleryIO

Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers through code reviews, training, and guidance

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to integrate automated testing in CI/CD pipelines

Track and report test coverage metrics, QA KPIs, and defect trends

Act as the voice of QA in internal stakeholder discussions and planning sessions

What You Bring

10+ years of QA experience with a strong automation focus

3+ years in a QA leadership role, with mentoring and architectural responsibilities

Proven experience building automation frameworks in Node.js and TypeScript

Expertise in modern QA tools including Playwright, CodeceptJS, and ArtilleryIO

Strong communication skills in remote and cross-functional environments

Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with global teams
